What is your favorite quote from a book, film, or song?
“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” –The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Who is someone you admire and why?
Sally Ride. She was the first American woman in space, and I have had always had a love for outer space and science in general. I even wanted to be an astronaut, when I was a kid. She was a leader in these fields at a time when there were not a lot of women in science. She has been an inspiration to me for a long time and especially as I pursued a degree in the sciences.
