Laura, originally from Los Angeles, California, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in international relations and minored in East Asian languages and civilizations with a concentration in Korean. While at Penn, Laura was involved with Penn for Immigrant Rights, Penn for Liberty in North Korea, Community School Student Partnerships, and wrote an honors thesis titled Divided Nations: A Comparative Case Study Analysis of Yemen, Vietnam, Germany, and Korea. After serving with Impact America, Laura plans to enroll in a JD/PhD program and hopes to one day become an immigration lawyer.

Who is someone you admire and why?

I admire my mother because she carries her confidence and humility perfectly and is the most resilient woman I know.
