Rachel Puckett, a native of Hartselle, Alabama, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama Honors Program in May 2013 with a  B.A. in Communication and minors in Civic Engagement & Leadership and Italian. Rachel completed her Italian studies at the Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri in Firenze, Italia while living with the Grassellini family. During her undergraduate career, Rachel was a College of Communications and Information Sciences Ambassador. She also served as a Moral Forum Scholar, facilitating weekly class sessions where students debated whether there is a moral imperative to provide universal healthcare in the United States.

Before joining Impact, Rachel coordinated the Walker County Internship Program, a collaboration of New College and the Walker Area Community Foundation, that places students in community-embedded internships that benefit local nonprofits and promote academic inquiry outside the classroom.

She currently serves as the SpeakFirst Program Manager, overseeing the High School Program and Middle School Debate League.
