If you’re spending the summer in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham and want to help area high-school students get a jump start on their Advanced Placement courses, CollegeFirst is for you!

CollegeFirst provides college students the opportunity to implement a Pre-AP summer academic enrichment program for high school students in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.  As a CollegeFirst mentor, you will spend one week learning how to be a pre-AP mentor in calculus, biology, chemistry, English, or computer science.  The following three weeks will be spent mentoring and tutoring high school students who plan to take an AP course in the upcoming school year.  UA students may be eligible to receive course credit for UH 300 and New College (upon request). Demonstrated ability in your preferred subject area is a prerequisite to selection.

Please check back in October 2017 for the 2017-2018 CollegeFirst Mentor Application!
