What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment has been raising my guide dog, Laser, who became a breeder for the Guide Dog Foundation in September 2017. Our year together was the most difficult and enjoyable experience, and while he did not become a guide, he became a breeder, and he will be the dad of lots of future guide dogs. I even get to watch some of them grow up in Athens, and there’s nothing I’m more proud of than watching them all be successful!

What do you like to do for fun?
I love painting, drawing, and any do-it-yourself project I can get my hands on. I enjoy drawing still life, so I’ll go to a park and draw the trails, and I enjoy painting landscapes, too.

What is your biggest strength?
I like to say my biggest strength is my passion. Going to college helped me recognize the passion I have for helping others and making my community a better place to live. No matter where I go, the one thing I’ll always have with me is my passion and the drive to fight for equality.
