DeJa graduated summa cum laude from Alabama State University in 2017. She earned her B.A. in political science with a minor in history. As an undergraduate DeJa served as President of ASU’s Model United Nations club and Vice President of the W.E.B. Dubois Honors Program cz-lekarna.com. To earn her Honors degree, she conducted research and wrote a capstone paper about the voting habits of 18-24 year old college students in Alabama. After serving with Impact, she hopes to start her own non-profit organization that seeks to help young girls in underserved communities.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my persistence. I work hard toward my goals and always find a way to reach them.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to watch Youtube videos and journal for fun.

What is your most meaningful service experience and why?

My most meaningful community service experience in college was when I participated in an Alternative Spring Break with United Way in Gulfport, Mississippi. I learned about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and participated in beautification projects across the Gulf Coast.
