What is your proudest accomplishment?
While serving as a senator for the Student Government my senior year of college, I created a program that would allow student teachers the opportunity to apply for funding that would help them purchase supplies for their classroom to complete their lessons as student teachers. I also started a supply closet where student teachers could take supplies for free. This initiative helped ease the burden of student teachers spending their own money to fulfill their duties as a student teacher.

What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy reading and taking my five-year-old border collie on hikes. Some of my favorite books are The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and anything written by Jodi Picoult. I love trying new food and doing things outside of my comfort zone.

What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my compassion for others. I always want to understand where another person is coming from and try my best to put myself in their shoes. I learn something new from every person I meet. Everyone has something to offer the world, if given the opportunity to do so.
