What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy swing dancing, attending poetry nights, discovering new comedy events, and exploring nature trails.

What is your favorite quote from a book, film, or song?
One quote that has really affected me is from the movie Wonder Woman (I might be paraphrasing slightly):
“Steve- ‘That’s awful.’
Diana- ‘That’s why we’re here.'”
This resonates with me because in my experiences serving my community, I have often witnessed families and children struggling even as I worked with them. I see pain and strife in these communities even after assistance was provided. It can feel debilitating and discouraging at times, but I have to remember why I’m pursuing service work; it’s to make the “awful” a little more bearable.
