Kaitlin works with the Executive Director to carry out corporate, foundation, and individual fundraising efforts and events for Impact America’s operations across Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Kaitlin also works with the National Program Director to help coordinate the organization’s external communications.
Kaitlin started at Impact America in 2011, serving as an AmeriCorps member for two years prior to joining the staff as Grants Manager in 2013. Before becoming an AmeriCorps member, Kaitlin volunteered with SaveFirst for three years while in college. Kaitlin graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in economics, with coursework focused on the root causes and long-term effects of poverty, and the role of nonprofit organizations in local economies.
Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys reading library books, crocheting or knitting, playing Nintendo Switch video games (especially The Legend of Zelda franchise), and spending time with her husband, son, and anti-social cat.
