Candace Boyd grew up in Livingston, AL. In 2016, she graduated magna cum laude from UA majoring in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management. She worked as a Data Analyst for 2 years and realized it was unfulfilling and not the correct path for her. After doing a lot of soul searching, Candace realized becoming a physician offers the challenges and fulfillment she’s seeking. After serving with Impact America, she plans to pursue medical school.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like to be outside, hiking, fishing (bass fishing or fly fishing), etc page. I also like to attend concerts and food festivals.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I grew up on a cattle farm.
What was your most meaningful service experience or extracurricular activity in college and why?
I enjoyed being a member of the Rotaract Club. I was allowed the opportunity to read books to preschool children while promoting literacy to surrounding communities.
