Bethany was born in Anderson, SC, but grew up in Double Springs, AL. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a distinction in Poverty Studies. Bethany spent her time at BSC interning and working with various non-profits such as the National Children’s Advocacy Center, the Community Church Without Walls, and the Office of Advancement on campus. Before becoming a service member for Impact, she worked with Workshops Empowerment Inc. on the Job Exploration Training (JET) Program Staff, providing an opportunity for high school
students with disabilities to experience work at one or more local businesses.

What do you like to do for fun?
I like exploring antique stores, baking, and gardening. I’ve more than likely been to all the antique stores in Birmingham.
What was your most meaningful service experience or extracurricular activity in college and why?
I enjoyed being a part of the symphonic band and gospel choir at BSC. Singing with other choirs in joint performances in the Birmingham community was the most meaningful experience to me.
