Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Matthew Horton graduated cum laude from Morehouse College, where he majored in political science. As an undergraduate, Matthew served as a Public Relations Manager for the Morehouse College Glee Club and was an active member of the Judson Lyons Mentorship Initiative, Morehouse-Spelman Pre-Law Society, and The National Society of Leadership and Success. After serving with Impact America, Matthew plans on either attending law school or pursuing a career in voice acting.

What do you like to do for fun?
I like to read, sing, do voice acting, and do boxing! Whatever keeps me active usually keeps me happy.
What is your favorite quote from a book, film, or song?

What was your most meaningful service experience or extracurricular activity in college and why?
Providing supplies and teaching life lessons to people in homeless shelters gave me an outlook on life I had never seen before. It taught me to treasure what I had and provide for those who are less fortunate.
Who is someone you admire and why?
I admire my parents because I respect how hard they work to provide me with the many opportunities I have had in my life.
